What is it?

This is an Under 16 official EHF tournament between multiple national sides. The tournament is a development event, discussed and planned in last year’s Mediterranean Hockey Forum in Catania.

The EHF Development Committee hopes that this event will help all participants gain valuable experience and help prepare their teams for the 2016/2017 EHF Hockey5s competitions which will be the pathway for the Youth Olympic Games in 2018 in Argentina.

When and Where is it being held?

The tournament will take place in Malta from Friday 26th to Sunday 28th June.

Who will be competing?

The tournament will consist of the following teams:

Boys – Malta, Croatia, Slovenia, Italy and Turkey
Girls – Malta, Croatia, Italy and Turkey

What will the weather be like?

HOT HOT HOT!

Malta’s average temperature during the day in June is 28ºC with lots of sunlight and humidity. Free drinking water will be provided at the complex and there will be lots of shade around but make sure you get your caps and sunblock with you.

Food and Beverages

Kindly note that a bar is located at the Hockey Complex which will be offering both food and drinks throughout the tournament.
